Ransomware
Malicious software that encrypts your files and demands a ransom in exchange for the decryption key.
Ransomware has become the costliest cyber attack for French SMBs. Once deployed, it encrypts all your data — local files, network shares, accessible backups — and demands a ransom, typically between €5,000 and €500,000 depending on target size.
The true cost of ransomware goes well beyond the ransom. Recent studies show that an SMB victim loses 2 to 4 weeks of business activity on average while restoring systems. Indirect losses (lost customers, postponed contracts, team overload) often exceed the remediation cost.
